Cristina Popescu

Cristina Popescu is Head of our new Environment Infrastructure department, managing and implementing environmental projects financed mainly under Structural Funds. Her specializations are water and wastewater, solid wastes and district heating. She has a Power Engineer degree.

Her relevant experience includes:

  • 17 years of general professional experience
  • Experience as technical independent expert acting in power system engineering, working for large companies in Western Europe: Electricite de France, Electrabel, Tractebel, Ansaldo Energia, ENEL, BCOEM, AETS, PSE, MVV. Key activity performed: consultancy for projects carried out in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Romania, Bulgaria, Belgium, France, Tunis, Italy, Germany and Armenia referring mainly to the transmission and distribution systems, as well as for the optimization of primary energy production costs and purchase contracts. The projects have been financed by private companies, European Union (Phare and TACIS), World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
  • On behalf of European Commission, expertise in evaluation and monitoring of Phare projects in Romania, in following sectors: Internal Market, Energy, Economic and Social Cohesion, Regional Development.
